Jeffrey Horowitz Ph.D., associate professor of kinesiology at the University of Michigan, is studying where fat goes in our bodies after we eat it. His research team asks study participants to drink what they euphemistically call a milkshake -- actually heavy dream mixed with tracers that attach to the fat in the cream. Then the researchers take muscle and blood samples and analyze participants' breath to see where the tracer-labeled fat goes. In this video, Horowitz discusses the study and what it can reveal.
