How Diesel Fuel Additives Work to Fight Air Pollution

New fuel technology is helping communities clean up the air. In Texas, diesel vehicles are among the primary targets in efforts to reduce on air pollution. EPA data shows that diesel accounts for the single greatest risk from air pollution to cause cancer. New federal standards will require new diesel engines to be significantly cleaner. A new plant near Houston is producing a diesel additive developed by ORYXE Energy. Extensive tests show the additive cuts down on toxic emissions, such as Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), one of the main contributors to ozone pollution. It reduces emissions by altering the course of chemical reactions in the combustion process. The ORYXE Energy additive is injected into standard diesel at refineries or fuel terminals. Along with its partners such as Sun Coast Resources, ORYXE Energy is helping several communities cut diesel emissions and remove thousands of tons of NOx from the air.
